With an objective to provide holistic and innovative solutions for smallholder farmers in developing economies, Bayer, International Finance Corporation (IFC, a member of the World Bank Group) and Netafim launched the ‘Better Life Farming’ (BLF) alliance in 2018. The alliance was launched in Bangladesh on 24 November 2020.

On its consistent development of this alliance, on 22 June 2021, BLF has inaugurated its 100th center at Baguri village of Jhikargacha, Jashore. The virtual inauguration was attended by 20 farmers. The 100th BLF center will be run by Mr. Dabir Uddin, a progressive farmer and a rural Agri-entrepreneur. Mr. Dabir belongs to a farming family and he is cultivating different crops of Cucurbits, Mango etc. on his 2 acres of farmland. ACI is working as a partner of Bayer BLF program where ACI Fertilizer is engaged in crop & soil nutritional support, ACI Motors for Irrigation and technological support and ACI Logistics – Shwapno for forward linkage. Mr. Ehsan-E-Elahi, Chairman of BCIC attended this event as Chief Guest, Mr. D Narain, Senior Bayer Representative, South Asia, Bayer Group and Mr. Rohit Maini, Grower Engagement Lead- India, Bangladesh & Srilanka of Bayer Group attended as Special Guests; Dr. F H Ansarey, Managing Director of ACI Agri Business attended as Distinguish Guest of this program.

Now ACI Fertilizer’s products are available in 56 outlets. ACI Fertilizer already sold BDT 3.2 million worth products using those channels. BLF is covering 10 districts and ACI’s coverage is in 8 districts. From July 2021, ACI Fertilizer will cover 10 districts.

Forward linkage with ACI Shwapno started on 2 June 2021, with Pointed Gourd - 6 Mound (240 Kg) from Satmail, Barinagar, Jashore under this program.
