A meeting with potential potato grower and other stakeholders was organized by ACI Fertilizer on 24 October 2018 in Munshigonj. Deputy Director of Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Munshiganj participated as the chief guest of the meeting, where Additional Deputy Directors - Plant and Crop were also present. The program was conducted to create a platform among government agriculture officers, potential potato growers, dealers and ACI Fertilizer personnel. Business Director Bashir Ahmed, Asst. Product Manager, Asst. Manager - IS, Area Manager (Dhaka) along with respective field forces conducted the program. The rationale of the meet-up program was to discuss the potentiality of potato farming in the district of Munshigonj where NEB and Organic Fertilizer can have a significant role to ensure healthy yield at a cheaper cost.
25 potato contract growers were invited as participants of the program. They discussed basic issues and gave feedback on respective matters. From the program, agriculture office assured to offer demo plots for NEB and Organic fertilizers in potential blocks. In addition to that, big potato contract growers also committed for piloting with NEB and Organic Fertilizer.
