ACI Motors inaugurated Yamaha Motorcycle CKD Assembly Factory at Borochala, Sreepur, Gazipur on 11 May 2019. With a target of annual production 60,000 units’ capacity, this factory has been initiated through video conference from Hotel Le Meridien, Dhaka. Mr. Salman F Rahman MP, Private Industry & Investment Advisor to Honorable Prime Minister was present at the program as chief guest. Mr. Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Mr. Yasutaka Suzuki, Executive General Manager, YAMAHA Motor Corporation were present as special guests. Mr. M Anis Ud Dowla, Chairman, ACI Group of companies presided the event. Also, Dr. Arif Dowla, Group Managing Director, ACI Ltd.; Dr. F H Ansarey, Managing Director; Mr. Subrata Ranjan Das, Executive Director, ACI Motors and other high officials of ACI Motors were present there.
Yamaha Motorcycle CKD Assembly Factory has been established through the direct collaboration of Yamaha Japan. The necessary equipment and technical support will be provided by Yamaha Japan to ensure the quality in every stage of manufacturing. The quality of motorcycle of Bangladesh will be at par compare to the motorbike of India and Japan. Now Bangladesh would be able to produce and supply high-quality motorbikes in the local market.
