ACI Seed arranged a Field Day Program on Tamim Plus, a prominent variety of cucumber of East-West Seed on 29 January 2022 with the assistance of M/S Shuvo Beej Vander at Jhenaigati, Sherpur. Tamim Plus is a popular cucumber variety of East West Seed at Sherpur and the farmers are getting satisfactory result by cultivating it in this season in different locations of Sherpur. The cultivation period of the variety is September to March and it is a winter-special variety. The fruit color is attractive green and size is 16-18 centimeters long. The average fruit weight is 250-260 gram. About 85-90% fruits are uniform and same size. The average yield is 15-16 MT per acre. Tamim Plus looks very attractive with green color and the farmers are getting more price than any other variety in the market.
Mr. Subrata Baroy, Market Development Officer of East West Seed and Mr. Jakir Hossain, Territory Executive of ACI Seed were present in the program. More than 60 farmers and retailers participated in the program. The Officers discussed the characteristics and performance of the variety. The model farmer was very pleased to get the excellent result of Tamim Plus.
