ACI Agribusiness, the leading aggregator of agri-inputs in Bangladesh, hosted a roundtable discussion with poultry community stakeholders at its headquarters in Dhaka on 19 December 2019. The discussion which was moderated by Mr Md Shamim Murad, General Manager, Digital Strategy, ACI Agribusiness sought to identify various issues-poultry shed management, need for real-time tracking of poultry shed’s environment, optimal breeding & rearing processes, market information gaps, disease prevention and management-faced by poultry farmers. The experts present at the roundtable stressed the need for the development of digital platforms so as to ensure faster diffusion of pivotal advisory in the poultry farming community.
ACI Agribusiness’s digital strategy team has already developed two digital platforms- Fosholi & Rupali-covering the needs of the crop and fish farmers respectively. The team is expected to complete the development of Shonali, which is built for the poultry farming community.
