ACI Agribusiness, the leading aggregator of agri-inputs in Bangladesh organized a training session for 50 executives of Thengamara Mohila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS) regarding the operation and usage of Fosholi, ACI’s digital advisory platform for small-holder rice-farmers. TMSS IS one of the leading microcredit NGOs in Bangladesh focusing on fronts of poverty alleviation, empowerment of women and improvement of socio-economic infrastructure in Bangladesh. The program took place at TMSS’s HQ in Bogura on 4 August 2019. Deputy Executive Director, TMSS, Rotarian Dr Matiur Rahman, Consultant, TMSS, Mr Nazmul Haque(Ex Joint Secretary), Director, Program-2, TMSS, Mr Abdus Salam, Director, TMSS, Al Hajj Khorshed Alam & Upazilla Krishi Officer, Bogura, Kbd Md Enamul Hoque were present along with other participants.

Md Shafiqur Rahman, Project Manager, IDSS, ACI Agribusiness conducted the three-hour long training session where the participants were engrossed by the digital interventions brought in by Fosholi. Mr Shafiqur walked the audience through the multifarious aspects of Fosholi starting from basic functionalities to advanced ones. The audience, in particular, expressed great interest in the modules of pre-cultivation, post-cultivation, cultivation, disease and pest management. My Crop, Fosholi’s dynamic advisory module, which guides the farmers through all the stages of crop production, was highly lauded by the audience. The audiences were also impressed by Fosholi’s weather advisory which comes in real-time and helps farmers make timely and accurate decisions pertaining on resource allocation.
